Dr. Ismail Memon is an experienced and compassionate General Adult Psychiatrist currently serving in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in South Wales, UK. With specialist training in Addiction Psychiatry and ADHD, he is UKAAN-certified and provides dedicated care to patients in these areas.Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Memon has taken on several important academic and leadership roles. He is an active executive committee member for the Academic Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych). He contributes as a member of the MRCPsych exam panel for Paper B. His dedication to education extends to his role as an Honorary Clinical Tutor at Cardiff University’s School of Medicine, where he supports the next generation of medical students and psychiatric trainees.Dr. Memon has also shaped academic standards, participating in the Question Standards Setting Panel for Year 2 students at Cardiff University School of Medicine. Previously, as a member of the RCPsych’s Psychiatric Trainee Committee (PTC), he represented the PTC in various forums, including the International Advisory Committee and the Credentialing Working Group Committee.In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Memon has been honored as an honorary international visiting faculty member at both Indus Medical College and the University of Modern Sciences in Tando Muhammad Khan, Sindh, Pakistan.In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Memon is committed to supporting and representing the British Pakistani psychiatric community. As an executive member of the BPPA, he represents Wales and advocates for promoting collaboration and professional development within the field.
